Premiering on Friday, November 27, 2020 7pm and available for the whole weekend, the Camp Menesetung community is coming together to share their musical gifts in support of camp after a challenging summer.

This free-will-donation fundraiser concert (suggested donation $15) will feature a variety of performances and will premier on YouTube as an unlisted video at 7pm, with the link sent to everyone who purchases a ticket in advance for you to view at any time throughout your weekend.

Join concert host Clayton Peters on an engaging musical journey featuring performances from a variety of talented camp staff, alumni, and campers; as well as the announcement of our 2021 season.

You won’t want to miss this; we have some top-notch entertainment lined up!

Here is a short list of some of our performers, more still being confirmed!

Gill Derer (Flautist, Singer) – Gill has worked at camp for 2 years as our Music & Drama program lead, and more recently as our Program Director. Gill is pursuing her Undergrad in Music Performance at Western University studying the flute and also holds the position of President of the A Cappella Association of Western!

Hannah Nickel (Singer) – Hannah was on our 2020 team as a volunteer this past summer and is currently pursuing her Masters in Music Performance specializing in Opera from Western University among her many talents!

Mary Ross (Harpist, Singer) – From camper to director and many steps in-between, Mary is a familiar face at camp and most recently spent her summer developing our canoeing program for Summer 2021! Mary is an accomplished pedal and lever harpist, and accredited music therapist with her Bachelor of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. She can also be found performing in the Goderich Celtic Music scene as a teacher with the Huron Harp School.

Clayton Peters (Percussionist, Pianist) – Clayton, also our concert host, has been a Director at Camp for the past 5 years. In the off-season Clayton works as a music teacher at GoderichDCI, and holds music education degrees from Wilfrid Laurier, and Western Universities. This concert will also featuring a new original composition!

Ripple Effect (World Class Barbershop Quartet) - Past Menesetung camper & staff member Rachel Hearn is one of the core members of Ripple Effect a renowned group that performs internationally winning Barbershop competitions!

Meredith Blakeney (Singer, Instrumentalist) - Meredith has worked at Menesetung as our Head Counselor & Integration Coordinator in the past, and brings her passion for musical theatre and campfire songs to us!

Ellie Morgan (Singer, Multi-Instrumentalist) - Ellie has been a long time camper, LIT, and CIT at Menesetung. Ellie brings her talents as a singer, songwriter, and active performer in her high school music department!

Ben Hearn (Singer) - Ben has worked at Menesetung for 6 years and will be well known to our Day Campers! Ben is a fabulous singer and performer with local theatre companies, we look forward to the energy he brings!

Curran Forster-Gill (Pianist, Saxophonist) - Curran is a long-time camper at Menesetung, always a hit at our weekly talent shows who has generously offered to share his musical talents with us!
